The Word on Musician Emilio
by Stephanie H.

EmilioIf you haven't been to the St. Regis on a Saturday night, you are missing a real treat.  Go and check out the sensuous and fiery modern gypsy music created and played by Emilio Castillo.  Emilio and band play in the elegant St. Regis lounge every Saturday night between nine and midnight.

The warmth of the fireplace, coziness of comfortable couches and the sounds of Emilio will make your night a special one.  Emilio's sound mixes Flamenco guitar with South American, African, and Gypsy rhythms and an innovative blend of new age influence.  The music is intriguing, passionate and provocative.  If you're in the mood for romance, this is the place to go!

Emilio has spent considerable time honing his compelling style while touring Europe and South America.  He has released two albums, "The Midnight Dance" in 1999 and "Modern Gypsy" in 2002.

To get to the St. Regis, take Niguel Road to the entrance and turn left which will curve around to the underground garage.  You can wear whatever you like, but guests are usually "casual chic".

When The Word was recently enjoying the sounds of Emilio, we saw an older couple cutting the rug alongside some much younger ladies.  Some people like to get up and dance to Emilio's music while others choose to lounge by the fire.  Fan the flames!
