The Word on Free Peoples

TW:  Who plays what?
FP:  Tim Sawyer-Lead Vocals /Guitar, Johnny Downer-Lead Guitar/lead Vocals, Michael DiPirro-Bass/vocals and Bradley Leach on drums.

TW:  When did you start?
FP:  Summer 2001

TW:  Who do you enjoy playing with?
FP:  To name a few  bands we've enjoyed playing with: Peter Rowan, Del McCoury, The Rads.

TW:  How and where did you start your band?  
FP:  Tim and Mike D. met at a recording session in Oakland California in mid 2001 and Johnny, Bradley and Mike D. have known each other and have collaborated musically since 1993.

TW:  How would you describe your sound?
FP:  A mix of folk/jazz/newgrass and acid swing.

TW:  Where do you like to play?
FP:  Everywhere we can. We're thinking globally. We have a great fan base in most of Colorado and California . We'll be touring the northeast of the U.S a lot more in 2004. We'd love to be in Europe and Australia as well. We've had folks from all over the world telling us of the appreciation their country or city or town would have for Free Peoples' better world.  We are our own influence.
